Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Helio (the “App”), published by Harcode (“we”, “us”), handles information. It applies to the App on iPhone and iPad and to this website.
1. Information we collect
None. The App has no user accounts and does not send any information to Harcode or to any third party. We cannot see your products, sales, customers, or settings.
2. Information the App handles on your device
To work as a point of sale, the App stores the information you enter, such as products, prices, inventory, sales, refunds, payments recorded, cash-register sessions, and customer details (for example names, phone numbers, email and postal addresses, and notes). This information is saved:
- in a
.heliostore file, in the App’s Documents folder or in a location you choose in the Files app; and - for App preferences (such as printer and receipt settings), in the App’s local settings on your device.
If you choose to keep your store file in a cloud location such as iCloud Drive, that copy is handled by that provider under its own privacy policy (for iCloud, Apple’s Privacy Policy).
3. Your customers’ information
If you record information about your own customers, you are responsible for it, including obtaining any consent and meeting the data-protection laws that apply to your business (in Mexico, the Ley Federal de Protección de Datos Personales en Posesión de los Particulares). Harcode does not receive or process that information.
4. Permissions
- Bluetooth — used only to find and print to thermal receipt printers you pair with.
- Add to Photos — used only when you choose to save a receipt or order image to your photo library. The App cannot read your photos.
You can change these permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Declining them only disables the related feature.
5. Assistant (Apple Intelligence)
The App’s assistant uses Apple’s on-device language model. Your questions and store data are processed on your device and are not sent to Harcode. Availability depends on your device and Apple Intelligence settings. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles Apple Intelligence.
6. Sharing you initiate
Some actions hand information to another app or service only when you tap them: sharing or exporting a store file or receipt through the iOS share sheet, sending a receipt by email, printing with AirPrint, or opening a customer’s phone, address, or website in WhatsApp, Apple Maps, Google Maps, or your browser. Once shared, the information is governed by the recipient app’s or service’s privacy policy.
7. Tracking and advertising
The App does not track you across apps or websites, does not show ads, and contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. This website uses no cookies, analytics, or external resources.
8. Security
Your data is protected by the security of your device. We recommend using a device passcode and keeping backups of your store file. The App verifies the integrity of store files when opening them.
9. Retention and deletion
Your data stays until you delete it. You can delete a store file from the App or the Files app; deleting the App removes the data kept in its own folder. Copies you exported or shared elsewhere must be deleted there.
10. Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on our side. You have full control of your data on your device. If you have any question or request, contact us and we will respond.
11. Children
The App is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
12. Changes
If this policy changes, we will update it on this page and change the effective date. Material changes will be noted in the App’s release notes.
